The Zimbabwe Media Commission is inviting suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions that have arisen at the Commission.
JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTANT X1
GRADE: C3
REPORTS TO: CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
DEPARTMENT: FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION
STATION: HEAD OFFICE
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Production of monthly consolidated financial statements.
• Preparation of revenue, recurrent and capital budgets.
• Initiate Public Financial Management System (PFMS) operations to ensure full compliance with Government Financial regulations.
• Accurate data entry and timely reporting.
• Maintenance of financial records.
• Reconciliation of creditors and invoicing of debtors.
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Degree in Accounting or HND in Accounting or full CIS, full CIMA, full ACCA.
• Proficiency with SAP, PASTEL and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act.
• Person of high integrity.
• Knowledge of AI utilization in finance.
• At least two years of relevant professional experience in accounting.
