Job Description

Farchis Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, ensuring the accurate and efficient management of financial records. The Accounts Clerk will play a crucial role in maintaining financial stability and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

Data Entry and Record Keeping:
* Accurately input financial data into accounting software.
* Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other accounting documents.
* Organize and file financial documents for easy retrieval.
Accounts Payable:
* Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
* Prepare and issue payments to vendors in a timely manner.
* Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Receivable:
* Generate and send out invoices to clients/customers.
* Monitor and follow up on overdue payments.
* Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Bank Reconciliation:
* Reconcile bank statements with internal records regularly.
* Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Expense Management:
* Review and process employee expense reports.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and reconcile expense accounts.
Financial Reporting:
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
* Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation.
General Support:
* Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
* Assist in special projects and initiatives as needed.
* Respond to inquiries and provide necessary information to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

* University degree in accounting or related field is a plus.
* Proven experience as an Accounts Clerk or in a similar role.
* Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
* Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
