Titan Law is Looking For An Accounts Receivable Clerk

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Creates invoices/ fee notes according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
Receipts all payments received in cash or through the bank
• Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions.
• Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
• Ensures that all disbursements made on behalf of clients are accounted for and recovered i.e., phone calls, photocopying, fuel, etc.
• Circulates of billing reports and statistics timeously
• Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
Handle questions and complaints regarding fee notes and billing
•Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the legal secretaries and other staff.
•Reconciles accounts receivable on a periodic (at least weekly) basis.
•Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
•Assists Accountant in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
• Records KPIs for all fee earners and compare them to the Budget
• Prepares Billings and Collections report weekly
• Assists in Manacc Preparation
• Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed.
• Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Negotiates payment plans with clients

Qualifications and Experience


Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
• At least two years of related experience required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Pastel, Palladium as well as other accounting software programs.
• Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers and printer.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Excellent planning, organizational skills and attention to detail.
