AGRICULTURALTRAINEE X5
The above-mentioned position has arisen within TIMB, and applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacancies. The successful candidates will be based at TIMB Head Office.
REPORTS TO: TRAINING OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE TRAINED IN THE FOLLOWING:
• Tobacco leaf appraisal skills (classification).
• Decisively dealing with all cases of improper and suspicious tobacco presentation and deliveries in consultation with Senior Classifiers or Arbitrators on the sale.
• Positively identifying any storage pests and symptoms of such infestation on all bales of tobacco that are offered for sale, as well as during any such inspections at tobacco factories, warehouses, tobacco re-handlingfacilities and during farm inspections to ensure separation of pest-infested tobacco from
• Collection and collation of data on the sale and during any inspections or investigations for purposes of producing reports for overall tobacco sales statistics and future planning.
• Agricultural extension and communication.
• Agricultural Business Development and Market Information.
• Anyother duties as guided bythe team leaders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Agriculture or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Mustbe 30 years and below.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/ COMPETENCES
• Excellent report writing skills.
• High level of maturity and responsibility.
• Trustworthy.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ahighlyorganised, task-oriented, and analytical character.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Teamwork and cooperation.
