Job Description

• To bridge the gap between Business and IT in order to deliver implementation,
enhancement and support for the SAP Business solution across various Saint-
Gobain businesses within Africa.
• Manage an ambitious roll-out program over the coming years, while securing the
existing landscape
• This Job can be based in RSA, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Ghana

Duties and Responsibilities

• Capitalize on past roll-outs to consolidate the deployment strategy
• Lead the new implementations (Gap Analysis/Localization, Adjustments and . .
Unit/Integration testing, Business Simulation/Training, Data Migration/Cut-over
plan, Go-live support)
• Support & Maintenance
• Change & Incident management
• Patching, master data quality, training, workflows
To successfully lead those various tasks, the Application Manager will have to
coordinate different stakeholders both externally as this initiative is done
together with a leading SAP Business One partner, and as well internally at
regional and country level.
o In addition to be business oriented and aware of the potential functional gaps that
might appear, the Applications Manager will have to maintain the business process
consistency over the landscape, and Internal Control compliance, as per the
Business Blue Print already defined.
o Lead the team in the gathering and understanding of end-user needs, quality
assurance of functional design, architecting of the solution, and supervise the
detailed technical design and implementation, testing and delivery of the final
solution.
o Recognize and address gaps between SAP Business One solutions and the
country specific business practices
o Provide first-level support services to SAP Business One solutions across Africa
and reach out to 3rd party for second-level support where necessary.
o Ensure all users are competent by providing technical support and training.
o Willingness to travel across Africa for new implementations.
o Application Ownership of solution technical architecture design and security.
o Supporting ongoing integrity of the Saint-Gobain business processes and ICRF
(Internal Control Risk Framework) controls.
o All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when
required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualifications required to fulfil the role

o Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Business (Accounting) and/or
Information Systems.
o SAP Business One Certification would be advantageous.
o Strong Financial Accounting within ERP Environment would be advantageous.

• Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills required to fulfil the role

o Higher education level such as Industrial Engineering and/or Finance
o 3 - 5 years project implementation and support experience working with SAP
Business One and Crystal Reports.
o Full understanding of business processes from operations to finance
o Demonstrated lead experience in enterprise systems integration (finance,
operations, business development, human resources, inventory, etc.)
o Strong SAP Business One implementation track record.
o Experience in Add-on creation using SAP B1 SDK and SAP B1 Studio.
o MS SQL DB design, development, and maintenance experience
o Good technical understanding of SAP Business One system integration with 3rd
party systems
o Experience with SOAP and REST API’s
o Ability to understand complex business processes.
o Ability to conducting detailed requirement gathering & define detailed Functional
/ Technical requirements.
o Comfortable engaging with stakeholders of all levels.
o Good communications skills in explaining technical information to non-technical
people.
o Ability to lead implementations and projects independently.
o Great team working and collaboration skills
o Self-motivated, self-driven, curious, open minded and flexible with the ability to
learn quickly
o Enjoy working in an international environment over different time zones with
teams in multi-site locations
o Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
o Ability to work and contribute well within a team environment and independently
