Assistant Workshop Manager
Strauss Logistics Zimbabwe is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Assistant Workshop Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in planning and coordinating all workshop maintenance activities.
* Supervise workshop staff and ensure adherence to company procedures.
* Monitor vehicle availability and maintenance schedules.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Manage breakdown response and repair turnaround times.
* Assist in controlling workshop costs and inventory.
* Prepare maintenance and performance reports.

* Ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
* National Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in fleet maintenance or workshop management.
* Experience supervising mechanics and workshop personnel.
* Strong knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles and trailers.
* Computer literacy and ability to generate maintenance reports.
* Knowledge of workshop safety, SHEQ and maintenance planning.
* Valid Class 2 Driver’s Licence (added advantage).
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
