Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above vacancy that has arisen within First Mutual Funeral Services.

The Job
Reporting to the Branch Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate funeral service quotations for clients.
• Assisting walk-in clients with new policies and facilitating upgrades for existing policies.
• Receiving and vetting stop order forms from Sales Agents on a daily basis.
• Receipting premiums for Individual Business and Funeral Services in line with set procedures.
• Compiling daily reconciliations for Individual Business transactions.
• Receiving, verifying and forwarding claim documents to the Claims Department for timely processing.
• Organising funeral service activities to ensure seamless and dignified delivery.
• Monitoring mortuary housekeeping and health & safety making sure that standards are maintained.
• Maintaining accurate asset registers and ensuring that all client records are properly updated and filed.

Qualifications and Experience

The Person
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
• Diploma in Administration
• Diploma in Insurance is an added advantage
• 1 year experience as a Funeral Consultant.
• Clean Class 4 driver's license
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Report writing skills
