Job Description
Mother Touch Group of Schools is seeking a responsible and experienced School Bus Driver for its International School in Victoria Falls. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, using a Yutong F9 bus, as well as handling other school-related driving duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate a Yutong F9 bus to transport students to and from school, ensuring their safety and comfort during the journey.
Drive students and staff for educational trips, sports events, and other school-related activities as required.
Conduct routine inspections, report mechanical issues, and maintain the bus in clean and roadworthy condition.
Follow all road safety rules, transport policies, and traffic laws to ensure safe operation of the vehicle.
Help students board and disembark safely, especially younger students who may need support.
Promptly report any accidents, delays, or safety concerns to the appropriate school authorities.
Follow designated routes and schedules, ensuring timely pick-ups and drop-offs.
Perform additional transportation-related tasks as required by the school administration.
Qualifications and Experience
Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
A certified defensive driving qualification to ensure safe and responsible driving.
Must have vast experience operating Yutong buses, particularly the Yutong F9 model.
At least 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a school or public transport setting.
Must be well-versed in Zimbabwean traffic regulations and safety protocols.
Ability to interact respectfully with students, staff, and parents.
Knowledge of emergency response procedures and basic vehicle troubleshooting.
Must be available for early morning, late afternoon, and occasional weekend duties for school events and trips.
