Job Description
A Business Development Officer, will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of business development strategies to heighten company profitability. The duties include leading a team of business development and sales professionals, identifying business opportunities to pursue and creating business proposals to support growth of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Selling the company services to current and prospective customers.
Communicating the organization’s marketing message to prospective customers.
Planning and managing marketing events and evaluating their success.
Supporting the Business Development Manager in day to day marketing activities.
Coordinating the company’s presence at exhibitions and other marketing functions.
Gathering marketing intelligence and working with the Business Development Manager
to analyze results.
Researching the market to identify new business opportunities.
Servicing existing accounts and obtaining orders from customers.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) duties.
Making sales presentations to customers.
Producing monthly progress reports.
Participating in meetings, by chairing and taking minutes
Checking the press daily for suppliers and tender invitations including preparation of the
final documents
Recommending changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and
comparing developments
Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems developing solutions,
preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Business Development
Qualifications and Experience
Degree/Diploma in Marketing Management
Security qualification from any recognized institution.
Three plus years in the security industry as Business Development Officer.
Excellent skills using Excel, MS Word and Internet Explorer.
Clean class 4 drivers’ license.
