Job Description

Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends
Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices
Discover and purchase new products and check the quality and popularity of those already on our shelves
Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company
Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase
Monitor stock levels and make plans for buying within budget
Create reports on sales, budgets and customer satisfaction and adjust your strategies accordingly

Duties and Responsibilities

Implement procurement strategy
Develop supplier management strategy and implementation
Develop and implement management strategy by branch
Negotiate with suppliers on - Ad Hoc deals and strategic buying, promotion deals
Compilation and placement of branch orders wit suppliers
Carry out supplier performance reviews
Managing product range within categories to satisfy customer needs
Monitoring stock levels
Selection and listing of new products and suppliers

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Supply Chain, Retail Buying or Business Administration
3 - 5 experience working as a Buyer
Strong analytical, negotiating and deal closing skills
Knowledge of sourcing techniques
Experience in Retail and wholesale
