National Cranes & Equipment is seeking a proactive and experienced Buyer to manage procurement processes for workshop and machinery parts, services, and supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management skills, sound knowledge of purchasing procedures, and a track record of cost-effective procurement in the construction or equipment sector.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for quality goods and services at competitive prices.
Prepare and issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.
Maintain accurate procurement records and track supplier performance.
Monitor stock levels in coordination with stores and workshop teams.
Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures and industry standards.
Develop strong supplier relationships and maintain updated supplier databases.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a procurement or buying role, preferably in heavy equipment or automotive industry.
Certificate or diploma in Purchasing & Supply, Logistics, or equivalent.
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of machinery and parts is a strong advantage.
Proficient in MS Excel and inventory/purchasing systems.
Clean class 4 driver’s licence is an added advantage.
