Job Description

The Adult Rape Clinic (ARC), is a specialised, survivor-centred service provider offering free medical and psychosocial support to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). Since its establishment in 2009, ARC has been at the forefront of delivering compassionate, confidential, and professional care while advocating for the prevention of SGBV and the protection of vulnerable groups. ARC is seeking a qualified and experienced consultant to facilitate a 2-day staff training covering:

• Safeguarding
• Child Protection
• Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH)
• Customer Care Services

Objective of the Assignment:

To strengthen ARC staff capacity in creating a safe, ethical, and survivor-focused service environment, ensuring compliance with safeguarding standards and enhancing client service delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

Scope of Work:
The consultant will:
• Design and deliver an interactive, practical 2-day training program
• Provide relevant training materials and case studies
• Facilitate participatory learning activities and discussions
• Assess participants’ learning and share recommendations for improvement
• Submit a post-training report highlighting key outcomes and action points

Duration: 2 days (dates to be confirmed with the successful consultant)

Location: Harare, Zimbabwe

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications & Experience:
• Proven expertise in safeguarding, child protection, and PSEAH
• Demonstrated experience in customer service training within health, NGO, or humanitarian settings
• Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with Zimbabwean laws and international standards on safeguarding and protection
