An exciting opportunity for an Executive position of Chief Finance Officer has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced professional at Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd. Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is a renowned local and international provider of high quality and enduring timber-based solutions for both industrial and end user markets. The successful applicant will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

a) Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
b) Ensure credibility to financial administration of the Company by providing timely and accurate budgets, financial statements and forecasts.
c) Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive costing methodologies/ systems in support of standard operating practice.
d) Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance &Accounting function of the organisation.
e) Evaluate dynamics characterising the business operating environment and advise on proactive short/long range plans/programs/strategies that optimise the Company's business performance.
f) Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and circumstances of their business units to build robust and wholesome business solutions for the Company.
g) Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities in their units.
h) Manage and be accountable to processes for financial forecasting, budgeting, consolidation and reporting to the Company.
I) Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance
and business opportunities for the Company.
j) Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable statutes in the Company's trading space, local regulatory laws, and rules for financial and tax reporting.
k) Allocate and managefinancial resources in line with set Budget.
I) Produce annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly reports that assist
Executives to optimise performance of the business.
m) Generate Management Accounts and Financial Statements.
n) Engage financial institutions in negotiations for financial services.
o) Manage and value-add to the Human Capital Resources within the Finance Division.
ID) Oversee performance management in the Finance Division.

Qualifications and Experience

Skills and Knowledge
A team player— able to identify and rectify skills gaps and recommend or come up with interventions.
Excellent presentation skills, oral/written.
Highly analytical and highly literate in business ICTs including MS Office. Familiar with widely used ERP systems, including SAGE.
Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
Possession of ACCA, CPA or other internationally recognised professional
certification in Finance/Accounting.
At least 10-years' demonstrable experience in Finance/Accounting. A cohesive figure who is open-minded in interpersonal communication, both
verbal and in writing.
Able to engage with suppliers/customers and staff at all levels of the organisation and be able to exercise sound judgement.
Able to work under pressure alone, and in multifunctional teams.
Remuneration
A remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered to the successful candidate.
