Job Purpose
To collect representative chrome ore samples at various sites and at various stages of production for quality control and assaying purposes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Collect chrome ore samples from stockpiles, crushers, conveyor belts, and trucks according to established sampling protocols
• Ensure samples are representative of the material being tested
• Label, record, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis
• Maintain accurate sample documentation and chain of custody records
• Operate sampling equipment and tools safely and effectively
• Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of sampling equipment
• Report any quality concerns or irregularities to supervisors immediately
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Assist with other production activities as required
Qualifications and Experience
• Essential: Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a chrome sampler in the mining industry
• Form 4 (O-Level) certificate or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of chrome ore sampling techniques and procedures
• Understanding of quality control principles in chrome mining operations
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions
