About
Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI) is a not-for-profit human development organization which is registered as a Trust under the Zimbabwe Deeds Registries Act (Chapter 20:05). ZHI’s mission is to develop and deliver innovative and sustainable high impact integrated health interventions with local communities while working with and strengthening existing institutions.

The Accelerated and Comprehensive HIV Care for Epidemic Control in Zimbabwe (ACCE) project's objective is to complement the government of Zimbabwe (GOZ)’s efforts towards epidemic control by targeting testing to efficiently identify PLHIV, ensuring all newly diagnosed PLHIV are immediately linked to treatment, and all PLHIV on treatment have ready access to antiretroviral therapy (ART), are retained on treatment, and remain virally suppressed. The program is being implemented in 9 districts in Midlands (Gweru, Kwekwe, Mberengwa and Gokwe South) and in Manicaland (Makoni, Mutare. Chipinge, Mutasa and Buhera).

Basic function
The CLA Assistant works under the supervision of the Collaboration, learning and Adapting (CLA) Officer in collection, collation and cleaning of data and assisting data analysis where needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job description
Development of Data Collection tools; Assist in the design of data collection tools for deep dives and operations research; Under guidance of CLA Officer Convert data collection tools into electronic format; Using Kobo Toolbox and other electronic tools as needed; Data Collection; Collate exports from HIV / AIDS routine data collection databases for further analysis (DHIS2, EPMS, HER, LIMS etc); Test robustness of data collection tools using real or dummy data; Participate in data collection needed for deep dives and operations research; Support data collection teams where needed during data collection; Assist the CLA officer where needed in simple data analysis on an adhoc basis; Data Cleaning Perform regular data cleaning for any data collected and have it ready for analysis; Ensure data integrity; Process data from electronic databases into format accepted by statistical packages such as Stata or R; Literature Search; With guidance from CLA officer search for literature using PuBMed as the main database; Download and save articles needed for review (Literature search terms and procedures will be provided).

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge, skills & attributes:
Basic knowledge and experience in data management and M&E; Willing to work independently with minimum supervision; Willing to deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and experience
Minimum of University Degree in Social Science, Public Health, Demography, or relevant equivalent; Background in health-related field with at least 1 year of experience in data management.
