We are seeking a creative, tech-savvy, and results-driven Communications & Digital Media Assistant to support the implementation of both traditional and digital communication strategies. The role will focus on strengthening the organization’s online presence, enhancing visibility of program impact and driving engagement with key audiences across multiple digital platforms.
1. Youth-Centered Storytelling & Content Creation
• Capture and document real stories of youth transformation (learning-to-earning journeys, innovations, entrepreneurship success stories)
• Produce high-quality content including articles, blogs, photo stories, short videos, and testimonials
• Conduct interviews with young people, partners, and stakeholders
• Translate technical program results into compelling human-interest stories
2. Digital Communications & Engagement
• Manage and grow BOOST’s digital platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, Tiktok, website)
• Develop and execute youth-friendly, high-engagement digital campaigns
• Create and schedule multimedia content tailored for different audiences
• Track and analyze digital performance (reach, engagement, growth) and optimize content accordingly
• Support email marketing and digital newsletters
3. Impact Visibility & Donor Communications
• Develop content aligned with donor visibility requirements
• Support the production of communication materials such as case studies, briefs, and impact reports
• Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all outputs
• Document key milestones, events, and field activities for reporting and visibility
4. Multimedia Production
• Take high-quality photos and videos during field activities and events
• Edit short-form videos for social media and storytelling campaigns
• Design basic graphics, infographics, and visual content using tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite
5. Events & Campaign Support
• Support communication and visibility for hub activities, bootcamps, showcases, and innovation events
• Coordinate media coverage and digital amplification of events
• Assist in organizing campaigns that promote youth innovation and entrepreneurship
6. Knowledge Management
• Maintain an organized repository of communication assets (photos, videos, stories, publications)
• Support internal knowledge sharing and documentation of best practices and lessons learned
Diploma or Degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Digital Marketing, or related field
At least 1–2 years of experience in communications, with strong digital media and content creation exposure
Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging digital content
Strong writing and storytelling skills, especially human-interest and youth-focused narratives
Proficiency in design and editing tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar)
Basic website/CMS management (e.g., WordPress) is an added advantage
Photography and videography skills are highly desirable
