We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Credit and Quantitative Risk Manager to join our team. This role plays a critical second-line-of-defence function, safeguarding the institution’s capital, earnings, and control environment against credit and operational risks.
The successful candidate will provide independent oversight, robust risk measurement, monitoring, and reporting, while validating the effectiveness of credit risk management practices across the organisation
Managing credit risk inherent in the institution’s credit portfolio.
Validating credit data for loan loss provisioning, suspension of interest, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Conducting independent reviews of the credit control environment to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Monitoring and analysing key credit risk indicators against internal and regulatory limits.
Coordinating reviews and updates of credit risk policies.
Developing and validating quantitative credit risk models.
Performing credit risk stress testing in line with model governance frameworks.
Preparing and presenting independent credit risk reports to Executive Committee, Board Loans Review Committee, and other governance forums.
Providing advisory support on emerging risks and mitigation strategies.
Supervising and developing the credit risk management team.
Undertaking any other duties as assigned by management.

A first degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
A postgraduate qualification in Risk Management or a related field is an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in credit risk management, including quantitative modelling and stress testing within a financial institution.
Strong understanding of Basel II/III frameworks and IFRS 9 requirements.
