Job Description

An exciting opportunity for the position of Customer Service Officer has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced person at Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd. Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd administers the largest commercial forestry plantations in Zimbabwe. The successful incumbents will report directly to the Customer Service Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction.
2) Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
3) Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools.
4) Meet personal/customer service team sales targets and call handling quotas.
5) Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
6) Escalate customer complaints that are outside your scope to superior within 24 hours for resolution.
7) Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents.
8) Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
9) Engage customers ALL the time.
10) Review timeliness of scheduled deliveries.
11) Track inventory levels.
12) Order new supplies in a timely manner.
13) Constantly work to improve processes.
14) Make suggestions for productivity improvements.
15) Optimize employee workflow.
16) Determine and track most important warehouse KPIs.
17) Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained.
18) Communicate and collaborate with other team members.
19) Track expenses related to hired delivery trucks.
20) Monitor and manage efficiencies at ALL times.

Qualifications and Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Diploma in Forestry, Higher National Diploma in Sales and Marketing and a degree will be an added advantage.
• Must be in possession of a class four drivers’ licence
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Excellent ICT skills
• In-depth knowledge of ERP systems
• Very analytical
EXPERIENCE
• Five years relevant experience.
