Job Description

JF Kapnek a registered PVO 1/86 which has been operating in Zimbabwe since 1986 whose mission is to improve family health, reduce child mortality and create educational opportunities for the children of Zimbabwe through the implementation of scalable, sustainable programs is
seeking to fill the vacancies below:
1. Job Title : Data Capture Clerk
Reporting to : MEAL Assistant
Location : Bulawayo, Matobo
Position Summary
The main purpose of the job is to gather data and capture the information into databases that are being used under the Pathways project as part of management information system for the project.
This may include gathering documents from various sources. This may also include extracting information from these materials, capturing data into databases and storing hard copies

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Sorts, inputs, and cleans data supplied by project staff into SAVIX, OVC MIS and DHSI2
• Captures participant’s registers and updates project database.
• Maintains and ensures back up of project files.
• Organizes soft and hard copies of project information.
• Types minutes of meetings as may be assigned

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• A minimum of a diploma in any Social sciences, statistics or equivalent.
• At least 1 year working experience in data capturing or related field.
• Basic knowledge of data cleaning and preparing data summaries.
• Knowledge of mobile data collection and apps a distinct advantage.
• Experience in the use of SAVIX, OVC MIS, POMIS or DHIS 2 an added advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• The incumbent should be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail.
• Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory.
