Job Description
The roles are responsible for the maintenance, installation and commissioning of mechanical plant and equipment to the required standard in your area of responsibility.
Duties and Responsibilities
Good employee relations and safe achievement of production performance.
Ensuring that work area is maintained to required housekeeping standards
Attending to breakdowns and emergencies as required
Checklists and inspections are up to date and accurate
Maintenance of machinery and equipment
Report any contraventions of the Mining (Management and Safety) Regulations, codes of practice, instructions, permissions, exemptions etc.
Ensuring conformity to legal requirements and Safety, Health , Environment and Quality standards
Qualifications and Experience
Certified Competent in (Class 1) Diesel Plant Fitting.
Valid Class 4 Drivers License
Apprenticeship trained plus 5 ‘O’ Levels including Maths, English and Science
Millwrights Certificate is an added advantage
Experience:
5 years post apprenticeship experience in the relevant discipline
Basic knowledge of auto electrics
