Job Description

Zimbabwe Alloys Limited, a major producer of Ferro-chrome invites applications from
suitably qualified and experienced candidates for appointment to the following positions:

DIESEL PLANT FITTER

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for
• Schedule and carry out predictive and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty
mobile equipment (e.g., tipper trucks, loaders, graders, excavators).
• Perform routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and mechanical repairs on heavy-duty
mobile equipment.
• Inspect equipment for wear and identify potential breakdowns before they occur
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records for all equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Class 1 Diesel Plant Fitter
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintaining heavy-duty mobile equipment in
a mining or industrial setting.
• In-depth practical and technical knowledge of heavy-duty mobile equipment.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems will be an added advantage.
• Valid class 4 driver’s licence.
