Director - Finance

Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill in the position of Director - Finance that has arisen within Zimbabwe Broad ca sting Corporation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for the following among others:
• Formulating financial policies and strategies and advising management accordingly.
• Providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.
• Develops and maintains adequate and effective financial and cost controls systems
• Monitors profitability of the corporation and ensures agreed targets are achieved
• Provides technical advice to the Chief Executive Officer and other executives on a wide range of financial issues
• Controlling and coordinating the organizations accounting systems in line with government and international standards
• Managing policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, disposals and acquisitions, as appropriate.
• Guiding the development of the corporate business plan of the Corporation.
• Processing and submission of statutory remittances
• Costing of all products and services.
• Developing compliant and robust financial systems which meet international standards
• Leading and developing the Corporation's finance teams.
• Oversees the Corporation's overall budgeting and financial planning processes
• Preparing and presenting annual accounts.
• Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
• Ensuring that internal financial controls are maintained and enhanced.
• Managing financial accounting and management accounting practices

Qualifications and Experience

• Ability to manage multiple revenue models
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to produce c 'ear financial status reports
• Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Degree in Finance/ Accounting or equivalent
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree
• Membership of a recognized and relevant professional institution
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CIS are an added advantage.
• Minimum of 7 yeas similar work experience of which, 5 yeas should have been at a senior managerial level.
