Job Description
Applications are invited for the DISTRIBUTION CONTROLLER position within Baker's Inn Retail - Northern Region, Harare.
Duties and Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be required to take full charge of all key responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:
• Receive packaged products from the packing department and verify condition and quantity.
• Ensure customer orders are accurately dispatched and delivered in full.
• Manage returned products and ensure all supporting documentation is completed.
• Oversee product disposal and maintain accurate disposal records.
• Monitor sales and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
•Track truck movements via satellite to ensure drivers follow correct routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Manage the vehicle fleet, including fuel usage analysis, service schedules, and roadworthiness compliance.
• Verify vehicle mileage and ensure all licences, insurance and statutory equipment are current.
• Maintain stock control records and ensure accurate reconciliation of all movements.

The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications:
• Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Warehouse Management, Logistics or related field.
• A qualification in Administration or Accounting is an added advantage.
• At least 2 years experience in warehousing and logistics.
• High level of integrity, honesty and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Strong computer literacy and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency and bias for action.
