Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description:

Our Environmental Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of environmental management systems of the business and to ensure compliance to company policies and procedures and applicable legislation by:

Ensuring appropriate environmental management systems are in place and certified
Identifying and monitoring compliance to environmental procedures and legal requirements
Ensuring all environmental impacts are routinely assessed and addressed.
Implementation and alignment to Anglo SHE ways and to Applicable Group Technical Standards
Implementing environmental improvements training and awareness programmes
Implement and maintain ISO14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 standards
Internal and external reporting on performance of environmental KPI as prescribed by legislation and internal standards.

This role in in the SHEQ Department at a band 6 level and reporting to the SHEQ Manager

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

You will be required to have the following:

Relevant degree in Environmental Science/Natural Sciences
At least 5 years’ postgraduate experience at Environmental Officer level or 3 years’ experience at a similar level in Mining, Mineral Processing, Heavy manufacturing, power generation, Agriculture/Forestry Industry
Relevant Environmental Short-Course Certificates (such as ISO 14001, Environmental development/auditing, environmental legislation)
SHE systems reporting-Enablon/Isometrix
Computer literacy: MS Office
Presentation and facilitation skills
Clean Class 4 driver’s license
