Job Description
We are seeking an experienced spray painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience painting and finishing vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces for painting, mixing and applying paint, achieving consistent color and finish, and ensuring that the finished vehicle meets industry standards. A certificate or diploma in auto body repair or painting is preferred, along with good color matching skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities
-Prepare surfaces to be painted by sanding, priming, and masking
-Mix and apply paint to vehicles using spray guns and other painting equipment
-Achieve consistent color and finish on all painted surfaces
-Repair and touch-up paint as needed
-Clean and maintain painting equipment
-Maintain a safe and clean work environment
-Adhere to industry standards and regulations
-Collaborate with other technicians and mechanics to ensure timely completion of repairs
-Maintain accurate records of all paint and materials used
-Stay current with industry developments and advancements in painting techniques
-Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines.
The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail and good color matching skills. They should have good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, they should have a strong understanding of paint and coating systems and be able to use this knowledge to produce high-quality finishes. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are also important.
Qualifications and Experience
