Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the position of Field Officer that has arisen in our organisation. The successful candidate will be based in Mashonaland West. This position is on a 1-year fixed term employment contract basis
REPORTS TO TOBACCO PROGRAMS OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and lead the centralized production and marketing of tobacco and other crops.
Implement and monitor day to day activities in liaison with project stakeholders i.e., implementing plans and schedules for planting, crop management, harvesting and crop marketing.
Ensure adequate stock levels of inputs are securely stocked and effectively managed i.e., seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, fuel and other supplies.
Initiate the budgeting process and manage the approved budget within allocated resources.
Keep proper financial records for reporting and audit purposes.
Oversee all operations and asset use, maintenance, and safe keeping.
Maintain an asset register for all of the company assets.
Produce weekly and monthly activity reports.

Qualifications and Experience

A diploma in Agriculture.
Certificate in tobacco training is an added advantage.
• 2-3 years' relevant working experience
OTHER REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES
Clean class 3 drivers licence is a must.
