FIELD OFFICERS X20
We are looking for dedicated Field Officers to join our team. Reporting to the
Agronomists, the successful applicants will, among other key duties, be
responsible for:
Key Responsibilities
• Assessing, evaluating, and identifying farms and farmers with the
potential to produce high-quality crops under contract management.
• Ensuring timeous provision of inputs to farmers in our contract farming
scheme.
• Providing on-farm technical assistance related to inputs management,
good agricultural practices, and best farming methods.
• Monitoring farming practices to achieve targeted volume and quality of
produce.
• Following up to ensure farmers deliver their produce to the contracted
market.
• Ensuring recovery of loans advanced to farmers.
• Developing crop budgets and estimates.
• Conducting soil sampling, facilitating soil tests and providing fertilizer
recommendations.
• Arranging logistics for inputs and ensure timeous land preparation.
• Monitoring planting and irrigation scheduling.
• Offering daily technical advice on production, pest, disease, and weed
management, as well as harvesting and post-harvest practices.
• Maintaining detailed records of fields activities, farmer databases, crop
yields estimates and other relevant farming information.
• Evaluating program performance and preparation of reports.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• A Diploma in Agriculture.
• Degree in Agronomy/ Crop Science will be an added advantage.
• 5 “O” Levels including English Language and Mathematics.
• At least three (3) years’ hands on experience in crop production and value
chain management.
• Clean Class 3 Licence.
