Kamativi Mining Company seeks a skilled Filter Press Operator to join our lithium processing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining industrial filter press systems to achieve optimal dewatering performance while adhering to strict safety and quality protocols..
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor filter press equipment (plate & frame or membrane types)
• Optimize press cycles for maximum moisture reduction
• Conduct routine maintenance (cloth cleaning, plate inspection)
• Monitor feed slurry quality and adjust parameters as needed
Record operational data (cycle times, cake moisture, throughput)
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and report abnormalities
• Follow strict safety protocols for hazardous chemical handling
• Coordinate with process technicians and shift supervisors
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications:
• Certificate/Diploma in Mineral Processing
• Valid forklift license (advantageous)
Experience:
• 1+ years operating filter presses in mining/mineral processing
Experience with Larox, Outotec or similar industrial filter presses
• Basic understanding of slurry chemistry and dewatering principles
