Job Purpose
The Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative (REPSSI) seeks to recruit a dynamic, self-driven and proactive
individual to provide effective and efficient finance and administrative support to the Global Fund Project. The
Finance Assistant will be based at the REPSSI Zimbabwe office in Harare.
Organizational Relationships
Reports to: Finance and Administration Manager
Major Role
Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Finance Assistant will support REPSSI Zimbabwe in
fulfilling its mission by providing effective and efficient finance and administrative support to the project.
Contract Duration
10 months
Key Responsibilities
Procurement of goods and services
Processing payments to suppliers of goods and services
Capturing project expenses
Cash management
Record keeping and proper filing of finance documents
Budget monitoring and support
Asset management
Repairs, maintenance and office presentation
Reception and general administrative duties
Logistical preparations for programme meetings and workshops
Provision of basic IT support
Any other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
At least a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or a professional qualification from a recognized
examination body
Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience with at least two (2) years in a similar position in an NGO
environment
Ability to use Pastel Accounting Software
Experience working with Government, NGOs or public institutions
Knowledge and Skills
Good oral communication skills in English, Shona and Ndebele
Ability to work in a multicultural organization
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Excellent organizational, planning and logistical skills with attention to detail
High level of integrity, maturity and honesty
Must be medically fit
Ability to adapt to abrupt programme changes at short notice
Ability to effectively communicate REPSSI’s mission, vision and strategic goals
Must have traceable references
