Job Description
Ultrabank Management Services has been retained by one of its Clients, a player in the financial services sector, to recruit and select a suitable candidate for the above-mentioned vacancy that has arisen within its operations
Duties and Responsibilities
• Directing finance and investments planning and strategy
• Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures
• Analyzing and reporting on financial performances by producing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports that inform periodic organization performance and inform the shareholder and stakeholder of financial performance of the organization
• Providing the Managing Director and the Board with technical expertise in financial matters
• Ensuring that all budgets are developed, reviewed and corrective action is taken timeously
• Assessing, managing and minimizing risk
• Monitors financial performance of the company
• Overseeing audit and tax functions
• Establishing and ensuring adequate internal financial controls which ensure the credibility of financial information of the organization
• Managing group treasury function and ensuring equitable distribution of resources
• Training accounting staff
Qualifications and Experience
• An accounting degree
• A masters degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field
• A professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMAS, CIS
• At least 10 years post qualification experience, 5 of which are at managerial level
Skills and Competencies
• Must have very good business understating
• Analytical thinker
• Must have high level of integrity
• Team leader
• Must have sound knowledge of computerized accounting systems
• Must be achievement oriented
• Must be highly computer literate in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
