Mashambanzou Care Trust (MCT) is implementing the Family Centred Support Project. The project’s overarching goal is to promote gender justice in targeted communities. This is achieved by improving access to services and support, thereby fostering an environment where children, youth, and women are safeguarded from violence and abuse to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing. The project is community-anchored, utilising a network of Community Volunteers, Men of Purpose, and Peer Mentors as frontline agents of change. MCT intentionally applies a gender lens across its programming to identify and dismantle obstacles hindering the full participation of women and girls in development processes. To ensure the project’s interventions are effective, equitable, and transformative, MCT is commissioning a Gender Analysis Training. This training is designed to build the capacity of its community-based structures.
* Design a participatory, context-specific training curriculum on gender analysis for the target audience (Community Volunteers, Men of Purpose, and Peer Mentors).
* Identify constraints, opportunities, and practical entry points for narrowing identified gender gaps within the project’s scope.
* Co-develop actionable strategies for creating equitable policies and interventions that yield social and economic benefits for all.
* Provide evidence-based recommendations for integrating gender considerations into MCT’s ongoing and future programming.
* Suggest monitoring and evaluation indicators to track progress on gender equality outcomes.
* Equip participants with practical skills and simple tools to conduct basic gender analysis in their routine community work.
* Ensure the training empowers participants to become advocates for gender justice beyond the training period.
* Submit a comprehensive training report detailing the process, participant feedback, key findings, and strategic recommendations for MCT.
