Job Purpose
The role is responsible for shaping the organisation’s technology strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing software solutions that power EcoCash’s digital platforms. This leadership position is central to building engineering excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and aligning technology initiatives with the company’s strategic objectives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and execute the software engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
* Champion robust quality assurance frameworks and cybersecurity standards to safeguard systems and customer data.
* Drive adoption of modern technologies, frameworks, and agile practices to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
* Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations teams to ensure technology initiatives support business objectives.
* Define KPIs, track engineering output, and report on delivery performance to executive leadership.
* Drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and customer-centric software solutions that enhance EcoCash’s digital platforms.
* Anticipate emerging technologies and trends, positioning EcoCash to remain competitive in the fintech space.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Postgraduate qualification in Technology Management, Business Administration, or Cloud Computing is an added advantage.
* 6–8 years’ experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
* Proven track record in managing large-scale software development projects and leading diverse engineering teams.
* Strong expertise in modern programming languages, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and enterprise systems.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
