Job Description

Zimasco (Pvt) Limited, a major player in Zimbabwe’s Ferrochrome Production sector, has
some exciting and challenging career opportunities at its Shurugwi & South Dyke Division.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, competent and experienced individuals to
fill the vacant posts in the Division on fixed-term employment contract basis, renewable
subject to performance.

GOLD PRODUCTION CLERK

Duties and Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES  Collects samples of Gold Ore at specific points and
deliver them to the lab for tests for conformance to
specifications.
 Account for Gold Ore dispatches and receipts at the
mine/plant.
 Monitor all Gold mining and processing operations.
 Ensure security of company resources including
Carbon Columns.
 SHE Management within the Mining gold section.

Qualifications and Experience

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS &
EXPERIENCE
 A Diploma in Mining/Mineral Processing/ Metallurgy
or equivalent from a reputable tertiary institution.
 At least 2 years’ post qualification experience in a
Mining/Mineral processing or Heavy Industry
environment.
 A qualification in sampling or ore quality control is an
added advantage.
 Extensive knowledge in CIL (Carbon In Leach) plants
 A sound knowledge of mineral resource management
systems.
 Experience in contractor management.
 Working knowledge of safety management systems,
with exposure to the NOSA SHE System being an
added advantage.
 Must be able to communicate at all levels both
verbally and written.
 Clean Class 4 driver’s licence a must.
