The Graduate Intern will support the implementation of community-based environmental and climate-related projects. The position provides hands-on experience in project coordination, community engagement, monitoring and reporting while building practical skills in environmental and natural resources management.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and implementing project activities in line with workplans.
• Support community mobilisation and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist with data collection, monitoring and basic reporting.
• Provide technical support in environmental management and natural resources activities.
• Participate in field visits and community trainings.
• Assist in preparing activity reports and documentation.
• Identify challenges during implementation and propose practical solutions.
Qualifications
• Degree or Honours in Geography & Environmental Sciences, Natural Resources Management, Ecology or related fields.
• Recent graduate (0–1 year work experience).
• Good communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to work independently in rural settings.
• High ethical standards and commitment to safeguarding, gender equality and accountability.
• Competence in motor cycle riding is an added advantage.
Required Competencies
• Basic understanding of environmental management and natural resources concepts.
• Willingness to learn and work in rural communities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
• Strong interest in community development and climate resilience work
