Job Description

The Graduate Trainee ICT Department is an on-the-job training role wherein the incumbent receives coaching and mentorship from the Head ICT with a view towards producing a well-polished, confident and experienced ICT professional upon completion of the program.

Duties and Responsibilities

• ICT Call/Fault Recording: Ensure that all ICT calls are logged, assigned to ICT personnel, and resolved on time. This will allow the student to learn ICT issues and ICT operations quickly.
• ICT First Line Support: Fixing of ICT hardware faults including but not limited to printers, desktops, laptops, telephone handsets, cameras, and network related faults.
• ICT Projects: Assist in any assigned ICT project including Project Documentation, Software design, Programming, Systems Customisation, and Project Testing.
• Recording of Logs: Record in the Server Log book on a daily basis all incidences, events, and performance errors for ICT team attention.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s Degree pass in a recognised ICT field with a pass score of upper second (2.1) or better.
• Knowledge of Operating Systems, ICT Hardware, and Networking
• Knowledge of applications including emails and office products
• Analytical thinking
• Works well under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Must be well groomed
