GRADUATE TRAINEE – MINING ENGINEERING
Location: On Site
Reporting To: Mine Manager / Operations Manager
Industry: Mining, Earthmoving & Crushing
Role Summary: We are inviting applications from recent Mining Engineering graduates to
join our Graduate Trainee Programme. The successful candidate will gain practical, hands-on
experience in open-pit mining operations, production planning, and equipment utilization
while developing into a competent mining professional within our operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in daily mining operations and production activities.
• Support mine planning, pit design, and short-term scheduling.
• Participate in drilling and blasting coordination.
• Monitor ore and waste movement and ensure adherence to the mining plan.
• Assist in supervising contractors and equipment deployment.
• Compile and maintain production and operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Work closely with geology, survey, and maintenance teams.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering.
• Recent graduate (0–2 years’ experience).
• Industrial attachment or internship in mining operations is an added
advantage
• Basic understanding of open-pit mining methods.
• Familiarity with mine planning software is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driver’s licence is an added advantage.
