Job Description
The hardware manager is responsible for the smooth and profitable running of a hardware shop.
Duties and Responsibilities
Taking responsibility for the successful running of the hardware unit
Recruiting ,training, supervising and appraising staff
Managing budgets, reports, maintaining statistical and financial records
Dealing with customer queries and complaints
Ensuring great customer service and staff motivation
Monitoring unit's performance, maximizing profitability, setting and meeting sales targets
Overseeing merchandise receiving, product storage, pricing and stock control
Ensuring the shop operations are organized effectively and run efficiently
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma /Degree in Business Management/ Accounting
• Extensive Hardware experience-10 years’ experience
• Helpful with a positive attitude towards customers and has managerial experience.
• Committed to good work, takes pride in good work, and can supervise, lead, and motivate others.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Trustworthy ,Hardworking , Accountable and responsible
• Ability to manage demand in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays if need be in order to meet the business needs
• Willingness to relocate and work from any other work stations as assigned by the directors
• Knowledge of an ERP System
• Willing to work on targets and stick to deadlines
• Knowledge on tendering and project management
