We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Panel Beating to join our dynamic team. As the Head of Panel Beating, you will play a crucial role in leading our panel beating department, overseeing a team of talented technicians, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional repair work. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, technical expertise, and leadership skills to contribute to our continued success.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Leadership: Manage and lead a team of panel beaters, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's success.

Quality Control: Oversee and maintain high-quality standards in panel beating repairs, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds industry and company standards.

Workflow Management: Efficiently organize and schedule workflow within the panel beating department to meet deadlines and maintain optimal productivity.

Technical Expertise: Demonstrate advanced skills in metalworking, welding, and other panel beating techniques to effectively handle complex repair projects.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as paint and assembly, to ensure seamless coordination of the repair process and timely delivery of completed vehicles.

Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to explain repair processes, provide updates on the status of their vehicles, and address any concerns or questions.

Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure that all team members adhere to safety guidelines to create a secure working environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

SADC or Regional Experience and Training is preferred

Proven experience as a Panel Beater with extensive experience in a leadership or supervisory role.

In-depth knowledge of automotive panel beating techniques, metalworking, and welding.

Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Time management skills to effectively coordinate workflow and meet project deadlines.

Customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.

Relevant certifications and qualifications in panel beating or automotive restoration.
