Job Description

The Group wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified & experienced individuals to fill the Head-Talent and Organisational Development role that has arisen in our organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Role exists to design, deliver, and continuously improve Cimas Group talent and organizational development initiatives ensuring they support the broader talent strategy and that employees are capacitated to efficiently attain Cimas goals and objectives.
Performs end to end assessments of Group organisational development needs in liaison with functional heads and researches key talent and organisational development trends to proffer recommendations to the Chief People & Culture & Executive leadership.
Designs the organizational development (OD) and talent strategy, detailing projects, and initiatives relevant to enhancing the organisation’s talent pool.
Leads in the implementation of the learning and development cycle to ensure that the Group realises the return of investment from people development programmes.
Leverage workforce analytics to assist with workforce planning, succession planning and employee demographic trend analysis and workforce segmentation to make evidence based decision-making and inform workforce management decisions and the talent & OD development plan.
Conducts talent econometrics research to understand talent demand and supply metrics on the local and international labour market to influence effective talent sourcing, talent development and retention strategies.
Develops and implements frameworks that allow for the identification of talent for current and future key positions and subsequently prepare talent through a variety of capacity building, educational and training programs to enhance the Group Talent Balance Sheet.
Establishes knowledge centres to ensure institutional knowledge and specialist functions continue to be developed and passed on throughout the business.
Utilizes management feedback and analytical tools to identify and assess workforce skills gaps.
Oversees and manages the design, integration and implementation of organisation-wide learning programs that include, but are not limited to onboarding/orientation, technical & professional training, employee & management development, leadership development and on the job coaching or learning.
Consolidates the annual Learning and Development budget including budgeting of man hours, establishes and maintains oversight of the learning and development budget, track budget spend and measure delivery of objectives (Training Return on Investment)
Capacitates group staff on the application and use of the business’ performance management system through training and one-on-one sessions with staff
Facilitates the process of performance contracting by training new staff and managers on performance contracting ensuring establishment and clarity of performance objectives and performance expectations by all staff
Designs and implements strategically linked leadership pipeline development and technical competency acquisition programmes, which include, graduate development, supervisory development, management development, TOPP and other development programmes
Monitors performance management cycles ensuring adherence to stipulated timeframes, practices and applying corrective action where necessary for the relevant division |
Maintains correct and up to date HR reports and HR risk registers | | Conducts HR Analytics and compiles weekly, monthly, quarterly, half year and annual Human Resources metrics reports, dashboards on an array of HR components and provide information for decision making; and2
Conducts research and analysis on HR trends, labour matters and workforce issues to aid effective decision making.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree in Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, Business Studies, or the equivalent
Master’s Degree
Certified Talent Practitioner
Experience working with talent in an organization with 500 plus employees for a period of 6 – 8 years.
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
