Job Description
SIRDC is looking for an Internal Audit Manager who is capable of adding value to its operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
The key job functions will be:
a. To formulate audit strategy, risk based audit plan and budget in line with the organization’s strategy b. Develop internal audit charter c. Review internal control systems across all departments and institutes. d. Play advisory role to the Board Audit Committee as well as to Management on latest developments in internal audit and business practices e. Oversee the production and submission of timely and clear audit reports with recommendations aimed at strengthening the overall control environment. f. Monitor progress of management actions to control weaknesses communicated in the audit reports g. Supervision of the internal audit department staff h. Reviewing and appraising the soundness, adequacy and application of accounting, financial and other operating controls. i. Enforce compliance with state law, corporate governance and S I RDC policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Knowledge and Skills
• Proficiency in applying Audit standards • Appreciation of fundamentals of accounting principles • Analytical skills ✓ Knowledge of Company Law, Taxation, Audit and Finance Act • Report writing skills • Exposure to manufacturing environment is an added advantage
Qualifications and Experience
The incumbent should possess the following qualifications: -
• First degree in Accounting/Accountancy/Auditing • Master's degree, CISA, CIA, CFE holders would have added advantage • At least Lo years auditing experience of which 5 years must be at Management
