Job Description

Suitably qualified candidates are required for the position of Inventory Management Officer/Stores Clerk at a construction/shopfitting business based in Harare

The purpose of this job is to manage both inward and outward movement of stock, small tools and equipment, whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of the company’s inventory records for accounting purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Description

• Manage a computerised stores management system.
• Receipt stock in accordance with our policies and procedures.
• Ensure all faulty stock is returned to suppliers in a timely manner and requisite credit notes obtained.
• Manage all stock movements in and out and keeping accurate accounting records.
• Pick, pack and dispatch material that has been approved to various construction sites.
• Preparing and undertaking stock takes and follow through any discrepancies that arise.
• Issuing tools on a daily basis and keeping a register thereof.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

• A Degree, Certificate or Diploma in any of Stores Management, Supply Chain and/or Purchasing & Supply.
• Computer literacy (Excel, Word etc)
Distinct Advantages

• Knowledge of shopfitting industry and/or construction/built environment.
• Proven experience in Stores Management.
• Knowledge of factory time keeping.
Requirements:

• A clean class 4 drivers license.
• Be under 35 years of age.
• Be able to work overtime/ extra hours.
