Job Description
Caritas Zimbabwe-Diocese of Chinhoyi is implementing a project in Rushinga and Mt Darwin districts titled Building Sustainable Livelihoods and Improvement of Access to Safe Water, Good Sanitation and Hygiene in the Diocese of Chinhoyi.
Duties and Responsibilities
Scope of work
Caritas Zimbabwe-Diocese of Chinhoyi would like to engage the services of registered drilling contractors to perform the following assignments:
• Geophysical survey for 1 productive hole in Ward 13 of Rushinga District (20 km from Rushinga DDC’s Offices) and submission of siting reports before drilling;
• Borehole drilling of the productive hole at wet hole policy contract (expected yield of 1 litre/second), maximum expected depth of 80m with full casing of 140mm diameter to accommodate installation of solar pump. Capacity/yield testing of the drilled borehole using the three stage tests (Step down test, Constant Discharge Test and recovery test) for 48 hours;
• Solar powered pump installation and connection to the already existing irrigation system
Surveying
Site visit and geophysical surveying
Interested bidders to carry out geophysical surveys on the site on Wednesday 22 September 2021. Meeting Point – DA Rushinga gate point @ 1000 hours.
The Contractor will be directed by Caritas Zimbabwe-Diocese of Chinhoyi to the site where the works need to be done. The contractor will determine the road conditions for accessibility of the drilling rig and other heavy equipment. The contractor shall indicate duration of the work, the price per assignment and total costs of the scheduled work.
The total amount quoted shall be all-inclusive and include all cost components required to perform the deliverables identified in the TOR.
Bids should:
• Specify the time period between offer of contract and delivery time.
• Show the Bill of quantity, totalling to the final price of the job.
Qualifications and Experience
Suppliers must have a:
• Valid Tax Clearance.
• Company Registration Certificate.
• Company Profile (with physical address).
• Payment terms of the bidder.
