Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified and self-driven individuals to fill in the position of an I.T Assistant. The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical support to the retail stores and will take an active role in various functions/projects in systems development and maintenance support, office automation, new technologies, and equipment to achieve greater staff efficiency in telecommunications and I.T infrastructure to facilitate information flow and improve communications and coordination within the company and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Result Areas:
Formulates, plans, develops, designs, and implements the organization's information systems and technology services, computer and telecommunications, in support of the organization's operational objectives and core business-critical requirements.
Identifies and prioritizes systems development requirements in the functional areas responsible for, and prepares and monitors project plans and schedules including hardware and software requirements.
Directs systems development projects, and provides technical guidance/assistance to staff involved in those projects, to ensure the quality of such application systems.
Ensures optimum level of integration among various application systems for better system performance and more efficiency in user procedures.
Enforces systems, programming, and documentation standards, and monitors the performance of the application systems under responsibility to identify necessary further improvement.
Allocates required resources among systems developments projects within functional areas responsible for.
Measures and monitors system performance to assure optimal performance and adequate capacity.
Supervises the development and maintenance of computer backup procedures and assists the Operations Sections in their performance.
Develops security measures and controls access to computers by assigning user IDs and passwords to authorized users.
Ensures comprehensive testing and evaluation of all modifications to software and hardware before implementation to minimize possible disruption to the business.
Undertakes research and investigation of IT products and services and recommends enhancements to improve system efficiency
E-commerce platform monitoring and maintenance
Qualifications and Experience
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate must have:
• Degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Management Information System, Engineering, Computer Science, or other related fields.
• Professional Qualification such as CISCO, Microsoft SQL Database Administration.
• Full Microsoft Professional Certification
• Experience Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a prerequisite and working knowledge of Retail Point of Sale systems is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years experience working in the I.T field.
• Experience in working with executives and senior managers providing professional, and accurate technical support.
