Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following posts that has arisen in the University:
FACULTY OF AGRIBUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ PROFESSOR (1 POST)
Department of Supply Chain Management and Marketing
Marketing Management and ICT (1 Post)
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership to the Department, initiate, guide and contribute to basic and applied research programmes in the Department as well as teach the following courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level: Marketing Management, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), Search Engine Marketing, Digital and Social Media Marketing, E-mail Marketing, Video Marketing, Digital Visual Communication, E-business and related areas. In addition, the candidate will be expected to co-ordinate and participate in the supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research students. University teaching experience is a distinct advantage.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have an earned PhD in the field of ICT/Computer Science/Information Systems/E-Commerce or should be a registered PhD student, and a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing, Information and Communication Technology or a closely related discipline with a Merit pass or better. A good foundation degree in Information and Communication Technology or Digital Marketing is a must.
