Established in 1987, Population Services Zimbabwe (PSZ) an affiliate of MSI Reproductive Choices (MSI), is one of the largest organisations in Zimbabwe focusing on providing quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH)/ family planning services. In its
service provision, PSZ compliments the Ministry of Health and Child Care and collaborates with other stakeholders to provide
modern and affordable products and services through various service delivery channels which include

Location: Harare (X8), Bulawayo (X5), Mutare (X5), Chinhoyi (X5), Matabeleland Outreach (X1), Midlands Outreach (X1)

Duties and Responsibilities

The Role
The Driver is part of the Outreach team working on provision of Family Planning services offered by PSZ. The role involves
extensive travel around the assigned province.
Key responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties:
 Ferrying Support Office, Static Clinic, and Outreach teams between scheduled points in a safe and timely manner.
 Picking up and delivering items, goods, documents, and official correspondence to designated locations and scheduled
points.
 Performing messenger duties, including the collection and delivery of mail, parcels, banking documents, medical
supplies, and other official documents to and from relevant stakeholders, service providers, and institutions.
 Conducting routine vehicle pre-checks including inspection of fluids, battery, tyres, and wipers, as well as monitoring
vehicle service schedules to ensure timely servicing and maintenance.
 Ensuring the vehicle is checked daily for cleanliness, roadworthiness, and compliance with safety standards.
 Taking all necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of passengers, goods, and the vehicle, and promptly
reporting any defects or mechanical issues.
 Receiving and warmly welcoming clients at the reception area and assisting with data capturing and client registration
processes.
 Participating in infection prevention and control activities, including cleaning offices, maintaining surroundings, and
proper disposal of waste.
 Ensuring proper filing and safe storage of records and files, including maintaining up-to-date vehicle receipts and
related documentation.
 Assisting in the preparation of service delivery facilities, including pitching tents and setting up equipment for outreach
activities.
 Conducting community sensitization sessions aimed at demand generation and client mobilization for PSZ services.
 Contributing towards the sustainability of service delivery through professional client interaction, quality support
services, and promoting positive community engagement with PSZ programmes.

Qualifications and Experience

About You
To succeed in this role, you must have:
 At least 3 O’ levels
 Ability to communicate fluently in English and native language of area of work (e.g. Ndebele, Shona & Tonga)
 Clean Class 4/2 Drivers licence is a requirement
 Clean Class 3 is an added advantage
 At least 3 years Class 4/2/3 driving experience
 Computer literacy, Ms Office (Word & Excel)
 Mobilisation experience will be an advantage
 Defensive driving licence is an added advantage
