Background
AHF is an international humanitarian organization operating in Zimbabwe, partnering with Ministry of Health and Child Care as well as local Authorities to create Centers of Excellence (COE) in HIV management in health facilities. AHF is looking for a highly qualified Logistics Assistant to fill in the position that has arisen at the Mutare COE.
Position Summary
The Mutare Logistics Assistant will be based at Mutare COE and will be responsible for 4 sites namely Mutare COE, Dangamvura Clinic, Sakubva Clinic and Masvingo COE.
The Logistics Assistant will have a dual reporting to the Medical Officer (Facility Head) and the Operations Manager
Job Summary
The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Operations Department to ensure efficient and effective support to AHF Zimbabwe programs.
Job Description; Duties and Responsibilities
• Efficient processing of procurement requests (RFP & RFQ) for the supported sites and follow up on payment, trace on delivery and timeously deliver to the respective sites.
• Produce monthly procurement and goods received reports for the supported sites to the Operations Manager for enhanced program monitoring and support.
• Carry out driving duties and errands as required to support smooth running of operations in the sites supported.
• Timeously arranges and coordinates the delivery of supplies to respective sites in a cost-efficient manner and obtain necessary approvals on each trip
• Ensure vehicles are kept in good condition, serviced on time and produce monthly fuel consumption reports
• Ensure all vehicle licenses are up to date and timeously report on any vehicle issues to the Operations Manager
• Assist the Operations Manager as first point person in assessing and managing vendors in the respective sites
• Responsible for entering capital assest for the respective sites in ASSET PANDA and coordinate with Finance Department during asset verification exercises.
• Assist the Operations Manager to assess, coordinate and monitor renovation works for the supported sites.
• Provide technical expertise in ensuring compliance to AHF policies on all operational processes and procedures including procurement, inventory and asset management.
• Provide logistical support to any other projects implemented by AHF Zimbabwe
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications, Skill and Competencies
Degree/Diploma in Procurement/Supply Chain/Logistics/Accounting/Business Studies.
NGO Experience an added advantage
Drivers Licence
Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
Good communicator with ethical values, cost conscious and self-driven character
