Our client, a dominant player in the Tobacco Industry is looking for a suitably qualified
individual to fill the following position:
Logistics Officer - responsible for coordinating and overseeing the company’s supply
chain operations, including domestic transport, export logistics, documentation,
customs clearance, and inventory coordination.
Key Duties
1. Coordinate daily shipments from warehouses to export destinations.
2. Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
3. Prepare and verify shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading,
phytosanitary certificates).
4. Ensure compliance with local and international export regulations.
5. Monitor and track cargo movement to ensure timely delivery.
6. Manage logistics records, inventories, and filing systems.
7. Work closely with the procurement, sales, and finance teams to align supply chain
activities.
8. Assist in managing logistics contracts and performance of third-party service
providers.
Person Specification
1. Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related
field.
2. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, preferably in an export-based or
agricultural company.
3. Knowledge of international trade regulations and Incoterms.
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
5. Knowledge of tobacco industry practices and export procedures is an added
advantage.
