Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to undertake an intensive structured graduate-traineeship in Manufacturing Engineering. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing processing tomatoes, mangoes, guava and milk into paste, pulp, concentrates and juices respectively.
• Production planning on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Assist in production planning on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Support efficient utilization of production lines for various food products.
• Monitor and control the utilization of raw materials to minimize waste and ensure cost efficiency.
• Participate in research and development activities aimed at improving existing products and creating new product lines.
• Conduct analysis of nutritional value, texture, taste, and overall quality of both new and existing products.
• Assist in testing products to ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards.
• Research and analyse relevant food safety and quality standards applicable to the industry.
• Recommend new methods for product preservation and shelf-life improvement.
• Conduct experiments and trials aimed at improving product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Support efforts to meet sales demand through effective production coordination.
• Review and assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of FSSC 22000, OHSAS, ISO 9001, and other food processing quality and safety systems.
• Identify opportunities within the food processing industry and support planning for implementation of improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies related to food processing, health, safety, and quality assurance.
• Provide support in continuous improvement initiatives within production and manufacturing processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering/ manufacturing engineering/ chemistry or equivalent.
• At least one (1) year hands-on experience in the field.
• 5 Ordinary Levels including English Language and Mathematics.
