Job Description
A busy Medical Centre in Granary, Harare is inviting applications from a suitably qualified and experienced Medical Practitioner to take up the position of Medical Practitioner-in-Charge (MPIC).
Duties and Responsibilities
Overall coordination and supervision of clinical services
Ensuring adherence to professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
Mentorship and support of nursing and support staff
Participation in service development and community outreach
Availability for scheduled clinics and emergency consultations
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
MBChB or equivalent medical degree
Full registration with the Medical and Dental Practitioners Council of Zimbabwe (MDPCZ)
Valid Open Practising Certificate
Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification clinical experience
Experience or interest in primary care, maternity services, and clinical administration
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory ability
Willingness to allow the medical centre to use his or her registration papers for licensing and regulatory purposes
