POSITION
MOBILE TEAM LEADER

REPORTING TO
BRANCH TEAM LEADER

PERIOD
FIVE-YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Duties and Responsibilities

- Key Result Areas
Coordinating Mobile /Static blood collection activities.
Performing venesection on blood donors.
Collecting samples for laboratory tests.
Performing plasma exchange procedures.
Compiling periodic (weekly and monthly or as needed) sectional reports for decision making.
Monitoring the ordering and usage of Mobile/Static consumables.
7. Capacitating Mobile/Static clinic staff.
8. Checking the integrity of blood bags, validating and verifying equipment.
9. Reporting vehicle/equipment faults/breakdowns.
10. Counselling blood donors (pre and post donation) referring complex cases for further management.
11. Bleeding clients for paternity test samples.
12. Performing apheresis donation procedure
13. Conducting blood donation process talks at the collection site.
14. Conducting pre-donation screening according to set procedures
15. Verifying donor identity before bleeding, recording donor information and correct allocation and labelling of blood donation bags.
16. Giving appropriate donor care after bleeding, issuing of donor incentives and newsletters (Thank-you letters).
17. Identifying and managing adverse reactions on blood donors.

Qualifications and Experience

Person Specification
1. Degree /Diploma in Nursing
2. A qualification in Counselling
3.Valid practicing certificate.
4.Minimum of five ordinary level subjects including English Language and Mathematics.
5. Have at least two years' experience in a similar position.
